Violências Culturais

O jornalista Coca Trevisan nasceu em Santa Maria, RS. Atuou como repórter e redator nos jornais NH, de Novo Hamburgo; VS, de São Leopoldo e Jornal Alto da XV, de Curitiba. Como profissional freelancer assinou matérias em diversos periódicos. Participou de workshops e atuou em debates sobre a Indústria Cultural dos anos 1980/90. Mais recentemente, concluiu pela PUC-RJ o Curso de Extensão Origens do Existencialismo. Mantém e abastece o blog Violências Culturais, plataforma de onde selecionou o material deste livro. Atualmente mora em Florianópolis, SC. Nesta obra — além de provocar uma imersão no  pensamento vivo do nosso tempo — ele ainda nos instiga a redimensionar a força da arte como bússola humana. Visões que ele moldou vendo filmes, lendo livros, ouvindo música e decorando todos aqueles refrões que reverberam além das telas, toca-discos e das páginas dos clássicos literários — é disso que ele trata.

Journalist Coca Trevisan was born in Santa Maria, RS. He worked as a reporter and editor for the NH newspapers in Novo Hamburgo; VS, from São Leopoldo and Jornal Alto da XV, from Curitiba. As a freelancer, he signed articles in several periodicals. He participated in workshops and participated in debates on the Cultural Industry of the 1980s/90s. More recently, he completed the Extension Course Origins of Existentialism at PUC-RJ. He maintains and supplies the blog Violências Culturais, the platform from which he selected the material for this book. He currently lives in Florianópolis, SC. In this work — in addition to provoking an immersion in the living thought of our time — he also encourages us to re-dimension the strength of art as a human compass. Visions he shaped by watching movies, reading books, listening to music and memorizing all those refrains that reverberate beyond screens, turntables and the pages of literary classics — that's what he's all about.
